All members of the community including local municipal leaders, business professionals and cultural organizations are invited to join Business for the Arts and Mayor Sandra Cooper for a launch reception celebrating Collingwood’s success in securing artsVest 2017!
Over the next eight months, this national flagship program of Business for the Arts will bring professional sponsorship training to local arts and culture organizations. The goal is to encourage sustainable partnerships between arts and businesses and spark sponsorship opportunities. As an added incentive, artsVest participants can apply for matching grants - for every one dollar raised in sponsorship, Business for the Arts will match it with another dollar - doubling their sponsorship opportunity!
artsVest saw a successful cycle in Collingwood in 2013 where five arts organizations created 41 business partnerships. Matching funds of over $30,000 generated more than $76,000 in private sector sponsorships.
An Information Session & Sponsorship training workshop for Collingwood arts and culture organizations will be held from 1:00 p.m – 5:00 p.m. on February 21 at the Collingwood Public Library followed by the Launch Celebration at 5:00 p.m.
Registration is required. For more information and to RSVP visit https://artsvestcollingwood.eventbrite.ca
